Welding production

Welding production performs metal cutting and welding of metal structures for turbines (capacitors, heaters, canister assembly, and other nodes). Due to the complexity of welded assemblies design, they have a long manufacturing cycle and high labor intensity.

Manufacture of welded structures is a completely closed cycle in most cases. The manufacturing process begins with the preparation of metal and separation of sheet and long products and ends with testing and finishing operations.

Welding Methods Used

Manual arc welding with coated electrodes Semi-automatic welding in active gases and gas mixtures Argon arc welding in inert gases Electron beam welding Automatic submerged-arc welding

Welded Joint Control Methods

  • Ultrasonic testing;
  • Dye penetrant inspection;
  • Magnetic particle testing;
  • Gamma ray penetration.
